The website for CeaseFire Halifax was simple and informative. However, thanks to its stimulating visuals and poignant identity, it did a great job of standing out from the other community advocacy programs in the region.
The main focus of the website was to educate visitors about the organization, collect donations, and serve as an online resource where those affected by violence could find support.
There were two special features of the site worth highlighting. The first, on the homepage, was a counter which represented the number of days that had passed without any reports of community violence. The second, was a page called the Wall of Remembrance, a heartfelt tribute dedicated to those individuals whose lives were lost due to violence. This page displayed photos of the victims which expanded to reveal more info about the person when their photo was clicked.
